Description
Intro to Spanish Linguistics: Presents the principal branches of linguistic study, as it pertains to Spanish: the sound system (phonetics and phonology), the structure of words (morphology), and the structure of sentences (syntax). Additionally, attention is paid to bilingualism, especially Spanish in the US, and how Spanish is spoken/written differently by various social groups (sociolinguistics) and in various Spanish-speaking countries (dialectology).
Course Description
While taking this course I learned something new which was the processes that take place inside the minds of human beings. Most of the course work focused on the articulation points in our mouths and how each consonant and vowel are articulated in the vocal tract. This class also mention the different dialects of Latin America. As we know that language varies from one region to another one. We also focused on the linguistic study of semantics and syntax an introduction to how we understand the messages we receive in our daily life when we are talking to people. These phrases are formed according to the grammatical rules of Spanish.
